VOSS supports a full suite of UC&C applications, including:

VOSS is the only platform today that provides a single pane of glass to administer all Cisco UC services.

It is also far easier to administer those UC services as VOSS operates at the business process level. Not only can an administrator see all the services, but when a service is added to a user, VOSS activates the core service and also automatically sets up the various call flows that are required for that service. This could be setting up trunks between the application server at the IP-PBX, through to setting up advanced features at the session management layer. An example of this is for Single Number Reach, VOSS sets up the SNR number lists within the PSTN Gateway Controller to allow number translation to ensure only the SNR number is presented for the user.

In addition, VOSS provides a central point of control to the end user to allow self-care for the individual’s UC services. This enables users to make their own real-time changes, such as:

  • Re-set their own password or PIN
  • Changing call forward settings
  • Changing single number reach settings
  • Changing speed dials
  • Looking up directory information
  • And in the future, ordering new services from their administrator
