Because VOSS is able to provide the functionality listed below, we are able to perform many more complex technical processes for each high-level business process:
- Map of all the network infrastructure
- Build the relationship between the business entity e.g. location, and all its network elements
- Link the dial plan for that business entity
- Understand the relationship between all service levels and users in that business entity
- Know the business rules for that business entity
In other words, VOSS understands both the higher-level service package as well as the multiple underlying infrastructure elements required to complete any particular business process. VOSS can therefore perform complex business processes that cover all the underlying, related service management including dial plan, network, inventory, etc.
When a business task is required - e.g. add a location and all its users - then VOSS is able to translate this business task into a series of technical and service orchestration steps against a set of business rules and preferences for that customer. VOSS then pulls the necessary data, such as dial plan, to perform the relevant workflow. As far as we are aware, no other management system on the market today has this capability.
The implications are:
- Automation levels can be much higher because there is very little that cannot be managed. VOSS directly provisions and automatically manages the complete array of the IPT resources and UC&C network infrastructure, without the need for manual intervention, unlike most other management tools.
- More complex UC&C service offerings can be provided to users because there is no longer a technical barrier. VOSS fully orchestrates UC&C service activation across all respective network infrastructure, as a single business workflow.
- Finally, the total cost of ownership is significantly lower with VOSS, due to these business process orchestration capabilities.
