About the VON Magazine Innovator Awards:
Building on the legacy of the Pulver 100, the VON Innovator Awards have evolved to recognize all companies – start-ups to publicly-traded companies - which represent the future of Internet Communications. Each participating company completed a lengthy and comprehensive nomination process, and the recipients have been selected from a committee made up of VON Magazine editors, columnists, and contributors, as well as the leading content producer for the VON.x conferences. The Inaugural VON Magazine Innovator Award winners will be honored at Spring VON.x at 6:00 PM Pacific time on March 18th in the VON Theatre in San Jose. April 21 - UC Magazine Recognizes the VOSS Unified Services Manager for Product of the Year Award

HERNDON, VA, April 21, 2008 - Vision Inc., a leading provider of IP Telephony and Unified Communication service delivery, announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC®) Unified Communications magazine (www.uc-mag.com) has named the VOSS Unified Services Manager (VOSS-) the Product of the Year.

The VOSS- is the market’s leading UC Service Delivery Platform offering integrated network element configuration for Service Oriented Network Architecture (SONA).

With VOSS-, infrastructure vendors can quickly and easily integrate their IP-PBX systems with soft-switches, gateways and application servers, to provide massively scalable, managed IP telephony solutions to service providers and large enterprises. Key differentiators for Vision are:
  • A single Business-driven Portal for Multiple Integrated Network Components
  • Speed of Deployment;
  • Scalability;
  • Ability to Integrate Distributed Architectures;
  • Virtualization; and,
  • Integrated Dial-plan Management.
VOSS- enables enterprises and service providers to deliver and manage their voice and unified communications applications with ease across large, distributed (and international) networks. VOSS- lets service providers and large enterprise companies quickly deploy and operate IPT infrastructure and UC applications, without the time and expense of configuring and managing multiple systems separately. New unified communications applications can be delivered faster and more efficiently for existing platforms.

Unified Communications magazine's Product of the Year award is the second honor for VOSS- in the last month. VON Magazine awarded Vision with their Innovator Award earlier in March 2008.

"This latest recognition from Unified Communications magazine shows that opinion-makers within our industry understand the value of our VOSS- solution and the importance of Service Delivery," said Henry Barton, Director of Strategy for Vision. "Without OSS solutions like VOSS- that are very focused on unified communications, companies will struggle to deploy large, distributed IPT platforms, let alone the complex unified communications applications that the market is so excited about."

"Vision has proven it is committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace. Unified Communications is pleased to grant a 2007 Product of the Year Award to their VOSS Unified Services Manager," said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and editor-in-chief of Unified Communications.

Every issue of Unified Communications magazine features a comprehensive news section; case studies of successful deployments and lessons learned; interviews with leading hardware and software companies; and an 'industry' section, featuring analysis of important mergers and acquisition, partnerships and a Wall Street perspective on the unified communications market. Unified Communications has a subscriber base of 41,509.

About the VOSS- Platform
Vision’s VOSS-® platform is leading the market for UC service delivery, in the large, distributed, multi-region, market segment with the reliability, redundancy, scalability and regulatory capabilities required to deliver carrier-class service. Rather than focusing on single enterprise with a single IP-PBX, Vision solves the far more complex issues for Fortune 2,000 companies, especially for service providers and multi-nationals. VOSS- has recently achieved the fastest Cisco IPT deployment for a 70,000 seat Financial Institution in Europe, eclipsing the previous record, and with 50% savings on deployment and help desk teams.
