Project Planning and Vendor Management

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS  provides programme planning leadership, including creating the master programme of work, and the co-ordinating the various work elements to achieve the key project milestones for the H/M-UCS head-end system.

This involves the co-ordination of all vendor activities and being responsible for the end-to-end system integration.

Importantly, the Customer still contracts directly with each Vendor, but VisionOSS becomes the single point of contact for the Customer when dealing with the project deliverables.

H/M-UCS Solution Design Authority

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS  provides services to lead the overall voice solution design for the H/M-UCS platform.

Typically this involves working with Cisco and other vendors to create a H/M-UCS design that will meet the Customer's requirements within the over-arching H/M-UCS (Glasslake) architecture.  The Glasslake architecture has been tested and certified by Cisco and there are a number of fundamental design requirements that must be adhered to.

This involves working with the Customer to confirm and document the Customer's Requirements.

VisionOSS also sets up and manages design sub-teams with various specialists from Vedors to produce a Low Level design document, including:

• architecture diagrams
• rack diagrams
• naming conventions
• IP Address Scheme
• VLAN design
• static configuration
• integration documentation
• specifications
• feature descriptions
• monitoring and maintenance management

Operational Process Design

As a part of the System Integration process, VisionOSS provides operational process design services. 

This involves reviewing the current operational processes within the Customer and then updating these for the BVSM automation capabilities.

The operational process review covers:

• Data gathering
• Deployment processes
• Data Migration processes
• Data loading processes
• Moves, Adds and Changes
• Billing processes
  
• Inventory management
• Applications management
  

Staging of Cisco Hosted UCS Platform

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS can provide the option of pre-building the Cisco Hosted UCS platform in a staging centre, prior to the deployment in the Customer data centre.

The primary reason for performing a staging build is to allow full end-to-end testing of the platform in a lab environment, when the data centre may not yet be available or have limited facilities for testing.

Data Centre Preparations

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS  provides advice and management on the preparation of the Customer's data centre.

For example, this might cover:

• Rack design
• Power requirements
• Cooling requirements
• Hardware requirements
• Network connectivity
• PSTN connectivitiy

Platform Commissioning and Set-to-Work

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS  provides leadership on the physical building of the head-end.

This may include:

• software loading of equipment
• pre-testing the individual equipment
  
• assembly into the racks
• LAN network connectivity
• switch configuration
• static configuration
• dial plan loading
• provisioning the network
• testing and troubleshooting
• connecting the network
• connecting the PSTN
  

End-to-End Platform Testing

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS provides end-to-end testing of the Cisco Hosted UCS platform and all the features and applications.

This includes:

• Test Plans against specifications
  
• Performing the Test Plans
• Managing the correction of any failures
• Re-Testing
• Acceptance of the end-to-end platform

Vendor Acceptance Testing

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS provides individual component acceptance testing for each vendor.

This includes:

• Test Plans against specifications
  
• Performing the Test Plans
• Managing the correction of any failures

• Acceptance of the Vendor system
  

Field Trial Support

As a part of the Systems Integration process, VisionOSS provides onsite support for the Customer Field Trials.

Formal Hand-over of the H/M-UCS Platform
